Edmonton Events

Edmonton Events is a partnership between the City of Edmonton and Edmonton Tourism. We attract, develop and support world-class sport and cultural events in Edmonton through great partnerships and a progressive approach.

Calendar and
Festival Growth

We focus on building year round visitation over a full 52 weeks. Initiatives include supporting existing festivals via marketing support and other resources, helping external stakeholders grow their existing festivals and events, and work on the 52-week calendar tool – an automated tool that helps us assess and balance all the activity that exists throughout the year.

Consumer Marketing

The Edmonton story is told in multiple ways in many markets by the Consumer Marketing team. The emphasis is in creating great experiences and using online channels to support promotion of attractions, activities, festivals and events.

Travel Media

Edmonton Tourism’s Travel Media unit can assist visiting media in a variety of ways. Whether it’s access to attractions and events, coordination of interviews, itinerary planning, transportation and tour services, accommodation assistance, and other requirements as needed, we are here to make your media visit memorable.

Travel Trade

Our Travel Trade team is dedicated to work at providing outstanding experiences for tour operators. The team can help add new and unique Western Canadian product, or strengthen current itineraries. Our local knowledge, connections and resources can help craft outstanding offerings and profitable outcomes.

Development

The Product Development and Tourism Development teams build on the foundation of Edmonton’s tourism experiences. Work with stakeholders helps to establish new experiences and grow their businesses so product is built market ready to sell within designated geo-markets.

Meetings and
Conventions

The Meetings and Conventions team is the central point of contact with a citywide network of doers and makers ready to help plan an unforgettable Edmonton meeting and conventions experience for your delegates. Our team of Business Development Managers can source the perfect hotels, venues, offsite event locations and local service partners to help create a great gathering.

Edmonton Experience

Edmonton Experience engages with visitors, wherever they are, to market our city as a great place to visit. Once they arrive, we strive to enhance their experience around the city’s major hosted events and festivals, while also encouraging them to explore Edmonton. Prior to these events, we are a mobile marketing team, driving awareness and excitement through custom activations.
