Edmonton Made Program Manager, Urban Economy

Scope of Role 

Strategic Planning and Management

  • Develop and support strategies to help local businesses and entrepreneurs reach new audiences and expand their reach
  • Research and identify what other cities are doing to support their local businesses from a marketing perspective
  • Research and identify opportunities to work with other entrepreneur support organizations to create effective programs and solutions for local businesses
  • Work with the City of Edmonton and community partners to align activities and maximize collaboration opportunities
  • Build and foster a network of organizations participating in the program

Communications  

  • Foster positive and productive relationships with internal and external partners to promote the Edmonton Made program to their respective networks
  • Manage and create content for the Edmonton Made website, Edmontonmade.com, social channels and newsletter

Analytics 

  • Define key measures of success and track program effectiveness
  • Track and manage an operating budget that delivers against program objectives

Skills and Experience  

  • Good working knowledge of local businesses and the support networks available to them
  • Skilled in content creation and engagement
  • Experience working with social media channels, online and traditional marketing tactics
  • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment as well as part of a team to collaborate for solutions
  • Excellent computer software skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and familiarity with web content management systems (Squarespace and Word Press), social media programs and digital analytics
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to build and manage client relationships
