We have a rare opportunity for an Executive Assistant in Innovate Edmonton with a “make it happen” ability. As a strategic partner to the Vice President of Innovate, this role is focused on maximizing the impact and effectiveness of the VP. The EA’s in-depth knowledge and awareness of strategic priorities and external environment makes them uniquely suited to anticipate needs and reactions of the team and business.
This role manages all administrative functions within the division and works collaboratively across all departments and divisions of the organization. Accountable for the administration budget and compliance of business processes, this role also manages defined projects within the division. Working closely with the VP and the divisional Leadership Team, the Executive Assistant ensures that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule and within budget.
As the ideal candidate, having worked with C-level executives in the past, you understand the value and importance of sophisticated administrative support and take that level of responsibility and accountability to heart. You quickly earn trust and credibility, and can professionally handle sensitive, personal and confidential information in a discreet manner. You are a master of all avenues of communication, with the ability to be clear, concise and to the point while keeping all partners and stakeholders informed on the status of priority initiatives.
As a high performing, adaptable and resourceful individual, your ability to create and manoeuvre processes, build relationships and apply critical thinking to proactively problem solve will ensure your success. You are also a master of and excel at calendar and time management, always looking for opportunities to maximize and to ensure time spent is valuable for all parties. Your experience and proficiency with productivity tools, office systems and applications are basic table-stakes. Your energy, character and commitment set you above the rest.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in Executive or Senior Administration. Experience in a political environment would be ideal. Post-secondary education in Office Administration would be of benefit. Our candidate should also be expert in Office 365; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, with an intermediate knowledge of CRM programs.
