We have an opportunity for an Executive Assistant to the CEO, who provides executive and administrative support to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).  The Executive assistant serves as the primary point of contact to for internal and external parties, has clear knowledge and in depth understanding of the CEO’s roles and responsibilities and represents the values and EEDC Corporate Culture.

This role is also the lead of the Corporate Division’s Administration team consisting of the Executive Assistant to the CEO, the Corporate Divisional Administrator and Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.   This team is responsible for utilizing the collective resources and capacity to manage the administrative requirements of the Corporate Division.  Utilizing a team-based approach, the Administration team is empowered to prioritize and distribute work accordingly to ensure a balanced workload and efficient results.

Job Details

We are searching for a professional administrator with experience working with C-level executives to join our team for a maternity leave of 12 months. You understand the value and importance of sophisticated administrative support and take that level of responsibility and accountability to heart. You quickly earn trust and credibility, and can professionally handle sensitive, personal and confidential information in a discreet manner. You are a master of all avenues of communication, with the ability to be clear, concise and to the point while keeping all partners and stakeholders informed on the status of priority initiatives.

As a high performing, adaptable and resourceful individual, your ability to create and manoeuvre processes, build relationships and apply critical thinking to proactively problem solve will ensure your success. You are also a master of and excel at calendar and time management, always looking for opportunities to maximize and to ensure time spent is valuable for all parties. Your experience and proficiency with productivity tools, office systems and applications are basic table-stakes. Your energy, character and commitment set you above the rest.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in Executive or Senior Administration, along with experience managing a team.  Knowledge of City Council and experience in a political environment would be ideal. Post-secondary education in Office Administration would be of benefit. Our candidate should also be expert in Office 365; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, with an intermediate knowledge of CRM programs.
