Alberta Aerospace and Technology Centre

Opened in 2015, the Alberta Aerospace and Technology Centre offers synthetic flight training, currently housing a Level D Boeing 737-Classic Simulator, and soon a AS350 Level 7 Flight Training Device helicopter simulator. The centre is a resource for national and international trainees needing training and certification, and is part of a shared vision to establish the Edmonton region as an internationally-recognized flight training hub.

EEDC partnered with Edmonton International Airport, Canadian North and Canadian Helicopters to secure funding from the Government of Alberta for the centre, and the consortium will be attending the Japan International Aerospace Exhibition in 2016 to familiarize key international companies with the training opportunities now located in Alberta.

The centre is already training regional pilots, and as the centre expands its offerings and client base, it will continue to generate economic impact through jobs and programming.
