Edmonton Made Increases Exposure of Local Businesses

In support of the 47,000 small and medium sized businesses that call Edmonton home, EEDC and the City of Edmonton launched the Edmonton Made program in September. Initiated through the Emerging Economies Initiative led by Edmonton City Councillor Michael Oshry, and developed by EEDC’s Community Activation team, this new program strives to enhance the exposure of local businesses. The team followed the launch with a month-long social campaign, driving curiosity about the program and engaging 500+ interested entrepreneurs.

Edmonton Made is now moving into its next phase helping Edmonton businesses spread the word about their products and services by sharing stories and interviews of Edmonton businesses, fostering a collaborative brand that gives local entrepreneurs an opportunity to both self-identify and to show their support, connecting entrepreneurs to the resources they need to achieve their ambition, and generating exposure for Edmonton-made consumer products.
